Californians are paying the highest grocery prices in the country even though we grow most of the nation's food. Why? Because Sacramento has put political insiders ahead of farmers and ranchers, making them pay big costs for their diesel, water, and fertilizer. Alexandra will make food affordable again by putting farmers and ranchers ahead of Sacramento insiders.

Insurance

Insurance costs are hurting families across California, but especially in the Foothills. Alexandra supports insurance reform to make sure that families can afford to thrive in the Foothills, and she backs increased funding for Cal Fire to stop the deadly wildfires causing massive damage.

Wildfire

California's firefighters are America's best, but our politicians aren't getting them the help they need. Alexandra supports clearing dead wood and brush from our forests to stop out-of-control blazes, and fully funding the equipment and stations firefighters need to fight fires when they do start.

Jobs

California's economy is not fair to rural families. Alexandra supports investing in better transportation, including new freeway lanes and highways, to let families get to Sacramento and the Bay Area without spending hours staring at taillights. She also supports programs and investment in local community colleges, job training, and new businesses to let more families earn good pay close to home.

Crime

Crime is way too high because extreme politicians have put their partisan agenda ahead of common sense. Alexandra believes that shoplifting is a crime, that criminals belong in jail, and that we need to invest more in our law enforcement to make sure that happens. Alexandra also supports stricter sentencing to keep dangerous criminals off our streets.

Water

Our farms are going dry because politicians are getting rich giving away our water. Alexandra supports building dams, canals, and pipes that keep our water local, letting farmers grow nutritious, affordable food and creating good-paying jobs.

Taxes

Working Californians are paying too much in taxes, and Sacramento insiders are getting too rich off them. Families struggling to get by shouldn't be forced to pay for Sacramento's extreme agenda. Alexandra supports cutting taxes and cutting fraud and abuse from California's budget.
